LOC Launches Internet Radio Network

In a joint ministry venture between the LOC and Sam Guido Evangelical Ministries International, inc, a new internet radio network has begun to be broadcast around the world. The LOC Internet Radio Network will provide Christian based programs, sermons, themed talk show, devotionals, podcasts and other Christian  programs of interest. The network is opened to both LOC and non-LOC ministers/ministries, provided that the content is acceptable to the program director. Opposing viewpoint type shows are welcomed, but must remain grounded in Scripture and be family friendly. There are currently 6 programs currently in production with negotiations with several others in progress. Click on the link to the left to enjoy the network programing. We expect this network to have a full lineup in early 2011.

                                                                     Concordat

Between The Ukrainian Orthodox Church in México
and The Lutheran Orthodox Church, inc

We, Metropolitan Daniel (de Jesús Ruiz Flores), First Hierarch of The Ukrainian Orthodox Church in México, and Bishop Samuel Guido, Presiding Bishop of The Lutheran Orthodox Church, do hereby enter into a Concordat of Full Communion between our two faith communities, each a part of the Mystical Body of Christ.

We share a common Faith in the One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church founded by Our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and a common sacramental system consistent with traditional Catholic belief, recognizing particularly the preeminence of the Eucharistic Liturgy (Mass) as the core and center of Catholic life.

We accept the validity of each other’s Apostolic Succession and Sacramental Orders, and we recognize at the same time the diversity of our separate jurisdictional disciplines and devotional practices.

Therefore we do hereby sanction, approve and encourage joint participation of our church memberships at the Eucharistic table, and we foster and encourage joint celebration of the Eucharist by those in Holy Orders, preserving the discretion of the local authority.

Further, we hereby affirm that each Church will work with the other in a Christ-centered relationship, characterized by mutual love, collaboration in ministry, prudence and the observance of the highest ethical and moral standards.

And we affirm that each Church will honor unity with diversity and the primacy of conscience, always based on respectful and prayerful dialogue.

Given this Twenty-fourth Day of May of 2010 (Eleventh Day, according to the Julian Calendar), Orthodox Commemoration of the Holy Apostles Bartholomew and Barnabas.

A Retirement.
We are saddened to announce that effective April 7th, 2010 Executive VP Charlton Courtney will be leaving the Lutheran Orthodox Church to pursue other opportunities of ministry.

Bishop Courtney has been a member of the LOC since it's inception and had been a staunch advocate for keeping to sound Biblical footing in all things. He is one of the finest ministers we have had the pleasure of calling 'Brother' and we wish him and his family well in whatever path The Lord leads them down.  He will always be welcomed back to the LOC and he will be a wonderful asset to any organization with which he chooses to affiliate.

God's blessings to you, Chuck, and thank you for the many years of service you dedicated to The Lutheran Orthodox Church.  You will be missed.

On Behalf of the Entire Governing Body and Membership, we wish you all the best.

Nice Words About Lutheran Orthodox Church on Jack Van Impe TV program.

Televangelist Jack Van Impe made mention of The Lutheran Orthodox Church, and Bishop Sam Guido on several recent programs. He was excited to see that there was at least 1 Lutheran synod which preaches accurately about The Rapture, and remains in harmony with both Holy Scripture and the teachings of Dr Martin Luther. Dr Van Impe's program is televised in 244 countries and many languages and reaches every country in the world. Thanks, Drs Jack and Rexella Van Impe for the kind words. We recommend your program to everyone.

New World Wide Outreach Ministry Established

The Lutheran Orthodox Church has established a new, transdenomintational worldwide outreach and ministry which invites clergy from all Christian denominations who agree with our purpose to join us in ministering to those in need without changing denominational affiliation. Please visit
Sam Guido Ministries or click on the links on our home page.

Ministers of The LOC

The Lutheran Orthodox Church, will continue to build on solid ground, little by little with the best qualified ministers, well screened, properly educated and unified in purpose. ALL MINISTERS MUST BE ORDAINED BY AN LOC BISHOP IN VALID APOSTOLIC SUCCESSION UPON APPROVAL OF THE LOC COUNCIL OF BISHOPS. This is our guarantee that the minister who represents this church is well qualified and not a 'mail order preacher'.
All Bishops of The Lutheran Orthodox Church were consecrated by The Presiding Bishop with co-consecrators from either The LOC or churches which share Full Communion with The LOC. 2 'Acting Bishops' have yet to have their ceremony performed but arrangements are being made.

Bishop Guido Addresses New York Theological Seminary
On March 22nd, 2007 Bishop Guido was invited to address the seminarians of New York Theological Seminary and perform the first ordination ceremony held there in the seminary's 100 plus years of existance. The address was very well received by the many students, alumnae, faculty, administration, visiting clergy and prospective students who were visiting during the school's Spring Open House.

Thousands gathered on Memorial Day 2008 at Veterans Memorial Park in Nazareth Pa for the Keynote Address delivered by Bishop Sam Guido of The LOC to the veterans of the United States Armed Forces and townspeople. The speech entitled 'The Greatest American Hero' was very well received and ended in a standing ovation honoring all the veterans who served our country. Copies of the speech are available on CD at no cost, upon request, as long as copies remain available. One CD per address please.
